Introducing Caitlyn Taylor, the newest and highly talented artist at 6 Tattoo Studio. With a unique journey that blends the worlds of science, medicine, and art, Caitlyn brings an inspiring depth of understanding to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and spent over five years in the medical field, where she taught adults with special needs and provided care to patients dealing with depression and anxiety. Her experience helping people express their emotions and navigate difficult challenges has had a profound impact on how she approaches her tattoo work, focusing on creating meaningful art that connects deeply with her clients.
Caitlyn’s journey into the tattoo world is as unique as her artistic style. Her passion for art truly ignited during the COVID pandemic, when she began teaching herself to draw through YouTube videos and by studying the work of other tattoo artists. With a self-driven determination, she honed her craft and eventually transitioned into a full-time apprenticeship at 6 Tattoo Studio, where her skills have only continued to blossom. Her art is a reflection of her love for intricate detail, focusing on fine line work and bringing designs to life that often feature elements of nature, flora, fauna, and fantasy.
In addition to tattooing, Caitlyn has explored various other artistic avenues. She once pursued nail art, even attending nail school, and still enjoys creating fun, expressive designs on her own nails. Her creative spirit is constantly fed by her love of the natural world and her enthusiasm for fantasy literature. Books and nature provide her with endless inspiration, which she infuses into her designs, making each tattoo not only beautiful but also deeply personal and symbolic.
Outside of her creative pursuits, Caitlyn enjoys winding down by indulging in K-dramas and is currently obsessed with them as a form of relaxation. Music plays a big part in her life, too, with K-pop and Afrobeats providing the perfect soundtrack for her creative process, whether she’s working on a design or simply enjoying a quiet moment.
Caitlyn’s dedication to artistic expression, her passion for helping people, and her genuine love for nature and fantasy make her a truly unique addition to the 6 Tattoo Studio team. Whether it’s a delicate fine-line piece or an elaborate design that tells a story, she is committed to making each tattoo experience as meaningful and joyful as possible for her clients. Her journey from the medical field to the world of tattooing is a testament to her belief in the power of art to heal, uplift, and inspire.
